Which kids' chair is right for you?

When your child sits, their feet should rest flat on the floor and the table should come to about elbow height. That is why chair and table are chosen as a pair: a high table with a low chair pushes the shoulders up, a low table with a high chair makes the child hunch. With an adjustable chair you can correct the fit as your child grows; the product pages list which table height goes with each seat position.

It depends on the age. For a toddler, armrests and side panels give support and stop the child sliding off the side. For a schoolchild, armrests under a desk can get in the way of drawing and writing. The Luula and Julle chairs solve this the same way: the armrests stay at a fixed height while the seat rises, so they support a small child and are out of the way for an older one. On Julle they are level with the seat at the top setting; on Luula they sit about 5 cm above it.

A fixed chair fits one stage well. An adjustable one moves with the child: TULLA from 18 months to school age, Julle from 2 to 10, Luula from 3 to 12. If you only need a chair for play at a low table for a few years, a fixed chair is enough.
