Felt Boots 724 For Kids

The 724 in children's sizes — the same felt boot as the adult model, originally designed for dog sledders. Light enough that a child will actually keep them on.

Boiled 100% wool felt is warm and breathable. The moulded non-slip sole grips snow and packed ice, so these are outdoor boots, not house slippers.

Children rarely stand still long enough to get cold — but they do sit in the snow, and wool handles that better than a rubber-lined boot, which traps damp and turns cold the moment the running stops.

The adult version exists in the same felt, so the pair by the door can match if that is your household.

Nursery and school, the yard, the sledding hill, snowshoeing with a parent, the cottage.

Choosing a size

Order 1–2 sizes up from the child's normal shoe size. Toes should not reach the tip of the felt, and thick wool socks need room. Wool felt has no give, so a tight boot stays a cold boot.

New boots have no left and right. They shape to the foot with wear.

What they are not for

They are not waterproof. Wool felt is made for dry cold, not slush or rain. On wet days choose a rubber boot.

Care

Wipe dust off with a dry cloth. Clean the sole with water and a sponge. No machine washing, no dryer, no direct heat — wool felt shrinks and hardens.
